...I recall German-American Erich Maria Remarque, legendary writer of "All Quiet On The Western Front " , a story with Marlene Dietrich, a marriage with Paulette Godard.
I arrived after to him on that sunny day 5th April 1962 in his Swiss villa at Porto Ronco on Lake Maggiore . He was busy rereading perhaps a new unedited bestseller of him on his favored chair facing the Lake, but he gave me with ease enaugh time to shoot my photographs as I wanted, at the end he pleased me with an autographed Italian edition of his work titled "Thde Road Back"
